You Should Know Who Does NOT Deliver A Certified  Appraisal Report  Required By Lenders, CPAs, Attorneys, IRS And Others...

 Auctioneers

Do Auctioneers have a "hidden agenda"?  Maybe.  They may foresee an auction and deliver a value that is inconsistent with fair market value.
99.9% of Auctioneers who are called upon to deliver an Appraisal Report do not deliver a USPAP compliant Appraisal Report.  That means the ethics and reporting of values in a USPAP compliant format are not prevalant.  Therefore, the appraisal value will not hold up to scrutiny with the IRS, CPAs, courts, lenders, attorneys and others!
Dealers

Do Dealers have a "hidden agenda"?  Maybe.  They may foresee the purchase or sale and deliver a value that is inconsistent with fair market value.
99.9% of Dealers who are called upon to deliver an Appraisal Report are not certified because they do not see the need.  Their main focus is to sell and buy equipment not providing a USPAP compliant Report or certification.  Their value will not hold up to scrutiny with the IRS, CPAs, courts, lenders, attorneys and others!
 Is The Depreciation Schedule Accurate?

Clearly...No!  The Schedule is only good for depreciating the equipment and DOES NOT provide the fair market value for a piece of equipment.

Equipment Appraisal...

What Sets The Certified Equipment Appraisers At Williams Appraisal Service Apart From All The"Clip Board Guys"?

CERTIFICATION

Certified Vs. Non-Certified...
That Is The Most Important Question You Can Ask.
It's  A Question That Is Of The Utmost Importance To You.
Be Sure You KNOW The Difference!

When it comes to valuing your equipment to determine its value, you absolutely do not want someone who is not trained and experienced in applying appraisal methodologies required to provide you with the substantiation you need to deliver an irrefutable, defensible value.  In other words, you do not want a "clipboard guy" guessing at values.  You'll discover within the pages of our website why a CMEA (Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser), is your best solution.

It is important for you to know that the equipment appraiser you assign to the scope of work you need performed has the knowledge, experience, ethics, and certification to provide you with a "Certified" Machinery & Equipment Appraisal Report.

A CMEA upholds the ethics and guidelines of the Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP),  promulgated and authorized by Congress as the Source of Appraisal Standards and Appraiser Qualifications.

A Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraiser has received formal comprehensive training and successfully passed a 100 question written test and submitted a Summary Appraisal Report evaluated by a Board of Peers.

A CMEA Promotes The Code Of Ethics...

If Your Appraiser Is Not Certified And Does Not Uphold A Strict Code Of Ethics...

Your Best Option Is To Find One That Does!

We Demand Ethical Excellence From Machinery & Equipment Appraisers.  Therefore, the Certified Machinery & Equipment Appraisers at  Williams Appraisal Service comply with and uphold these 4 strict points...
